She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Ray and Wilma Fern McVey (Bowman); her son Timothy John Schumann; her siblings, Phyllis Streepy and Gerold Wayne "Jerry" McVey; her parents-in-law, Albert John Schumann and Hazel Harriett Schumann (Hull); her siblings-in-law, Linda Kay Schumann (Noah), Janet May Throckmorton (Schumann), Jewell Schumann, Gary Lee Schumann and Donald Gene Schumann; and her nephew Mark Throckmorton.
She is survived by: her husband Hubert John Schumann; her children, James Keith "Jim" Schumann (Cindy Gustafson) of Knoxville and Wanda Rae Schumann-Pennington (Kraig) of Mount Ayr; her siblings, Joyce Schumann of Russell and Jack McVey (Glenna) of Chariton; and her siblings-in-law, Carmen Schumann of Chariton, Bud Schumann of Chariton, Lyle Dorsey (Judy) of Russell, Fred Throckmorton (Joyce) of Derby and Garry Throckmorton. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, lots of family and friends.
