He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Fisher and Doris Fisher; and his brother-in-law Barry Klapperich. He is survived by: his wife Becky; his children, Andrew Fisher, Charles Fisher (Lauren) and Elizabeth White (Brad); his grandchildren, Harrison Fisher White and Eliana Ames White; and his siblings, Vernon Fisher (Kathy), Donna Emerson (Jim), Barb Klapperich (Reid), Bev Klapperich, David Fisher (Lisa), Connie Holmen (John) and Carol Hicok (Wayne). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (1002 E 10th St, Vinton, IA 52349). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery (107 Hall St, Mt Auburn, IA 52313). A reception will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Vinton-Shellsburg High School (210 W 21st St, Vinton, IA 52349).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your local blood bank as Duane benefited from numerous transfusions.
