He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert, Sr. Bierman and Grace Bierman (Newcomb); his sister Jan Ingle; and his brother-in-law Carl Daggs. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Boorn; his children, Jennifer Gandia of Muscatine, Stacey Werling (Dustin) of Atalissa and John Bierman (Lanie) of Moscow; his grandchildren, Lauren Gardner, Tanner Gandia, Parker, Paige Werling and Connor Bierman; his great grandchildren, Robert, Henry Gandia, Oakley, Fletcher and Finn Gardner; and his siblings, Barb Lane (Dorsey) of Muscatine, Kathy DeVore (Jerry) of Muscatine, Judy Daggs of Oelwein, Mike Bierman (Sylvia) of Arizona, Craig Bierman (Judy) of Oklahoma and Mark Bierman of California. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
