She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Howell and Henrietta Howell (Wilson); her husband Drew Cooley; her brother-in-law Dick Clemmer; her parents-in-law, Howard and Jan Cooley; and her sister-in-law Joyce Howell.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Cooley (Brook) of Morning Sun, Lisa Van Amerongen (Jeff) of Morning Sun and Rich Cooley (Amanda) of Morning Sun; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Meek (Erin), Tyler Cooley, Abbie Cooley (Bryce), Mason Cooley, Garrett Cooley, Mallory Van Amerongen, Mackenzie Van Amerongen and Presley Cooley; her siblings, Willard Howell of Wapello, Linda Clemmer of Winfield, Joe Howell (Carol) of Columbus Junction and Janet Dickerson of Winfield; and her sister-in-law Jill Cooley of Des Moines. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established for the Iowa Donor Network in Cheryl's name.
