He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Ellison and Bernice Ellison (Turner); his sisters, Dorothy Marie Valentine and Mary Ellen Lathen; his parents-in-law, George and Tina Kauzlarich; and his daughter-in-law Dixie Ellison.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Helen Kauzlarich of Moravia, Iowa; his sons, Jim Ellison of Liberty and Ron Ellison (Patti Meyer) of Ottumwa, Iowa; his brother Ken Ellison of Ackworth, Iowa; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Kauzlarich of Centerville and Rose Widmer (Robert) of Silvis, Illinois.. He is also survived by four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Care Initiatives Hospice and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
