He was predeceased by: his parents, William Watkins Davis Sr. and Thelma Holdridge Davis; his wife Bettye Davis; his children, Neill Davis and Wanda Dixon; his granddaughter Kim McDonald Thompson; and his brother Leslie Davis.
He is survived by: his daughter Gisele Davis Chapman (Terry) of Moravia; his children-in-law, Trudy Davis of Denham Springs, LA and Johnnie Dixon of Petal, MS; his brother Fred H. Davis of Hattiesburg, MS.; and his daughter Jessica Self. He is also survived by six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren.
