He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Tomlin and Roma Tomlin; his sister Lillian Fenton; and his grandson Kenny Smothers. He is survived by: his spouse Wanda Tomlin of Moravia; his children, Dean Jr. Tomlin (Vicky) of Albia, Debbie Smothers (Lee) of Moravia and Mike Tomlin (Barb) of Unionville, Missouri; his grandchildren, Isaac Tomlin (Laura) of Bloomfield, Rick DeVore (Steph) of Moravia, Jennifer Culver (Elliott) of Albia, Heather Maletta (Tim Potter) of Moravia, Miranda Tucker (Cliff) of Ottumwa, Anthony Smothers (Brooke) of Glenwood, Brandon Tomlin (Kara) of Albia, Rachelle Beals (Jacob) of Adel, Brianna Thies (T. J.) of Cedar Rapids, Sydney Tomlin and Chase Tomlin of Unionville, Missouri; and his brother-in-law Lynn Fenton.
