Jerry Rice Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Rice of Moorhead, Iowa, born in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on January 6, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother Randy; his parents, Robert "Red" and Fran Rice; his daughter JeriDee Rice; his daughters-in-law, Paulette Rice and Wendy Rowton; his grandchildren, Michael Rice and Jasin Sheldon; his brother Robert E. Rice; and his sister-in-law Patty Rice.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara "Barb" Rice of Moorhead; his children, Fred Rice (Debra) of Taft, Robert Rice of Onawa, Teresa Stotts (Roy) of Council Bluffs and Scott Rice (Lara) of Taft, California.; his grandchildren, Christina Rice-Holmes, Anita Sheldon (David), Emma, Aubrey, Ashley Mead (Sam), Aria, Salem, Deresa Hughes (Andy), Tyler, Jay, Drewby, Rybearski, Shari Rice, Jon Rice, Adrianna Bulanda-Rice, Shawn Karaus (Lauren Wood), Scarlet, Melinda Grabenschroer (Chris), John, Gage, Mary Jo Karaus, Grant, Avery, Leia, Kyle Rice (Megan) and Keirdon Blaeholder; and his sisters, Merry Fran Quedensley (Joe) of Omaha, Linda and Carol. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Jerry did not want anyone to risk their health to come show their love or respect during this Covid-19 pandemic.
