It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Connie Sue Schmitz of Montrose, Iowa, born in Fort Madison, Iowa, who passed away on July 1, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Thon and Helen Thon (Downey). She is survived by: her husband William Schmitz; her children, Jacque Moeller (James) of Franklin, Iowa and Jeff Schmitz (Cindy) of Donnellson, Iowa; her grandchildren, Sydney DeMoss, Tanner DeMoss, Raylee Moeller, Riston Schmitz, Kyle Martinson and Kayla Todd; her great grandchild Ki'Anne Jefferson; and her sister Karen Nelson (Ron) of Omaha, Nebraska.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
