She was predeceased by: her parents-in-law, Paul Hearn and Esther Hearn Schneider; and her siblings-in-law, Eleanor Adamson, Mary Parker and Gilbert Hearn.

She is survived by: her son Mark Hearn; her spouse Roger Hearn; her children, Eric Hearn (Ann) of Cedar Rapids, Jill Cigrand (Tracy) of Monticello and Tina McCoy Hearn of Iowa City; her grandchild Cara Edmond of Austin; her children, Cormac Sullivan of Seattle, Charlotte Sullivan of Seattle, Keeley Sullivan (Adam) of Seattle, Nick Cigrand (Trinity) of Cedar Rapids, Genevieve Cigrand of Onslow and Katalina; her stepgrandchildren, Eric Zichterman (Sara) of Cedar Rapids, Reid, Allie, Brad Zichterman (Paula) of Vernonia and Melissa McCoy of North Liberty; and her siblings, Phil Tuetken (Judy) of Monticello and Janet Sion (Bob) of Marion.
