He was predeceased by: his wife Jan; his son-in-law Richmond Kromminga; his sister Arlene Bader; and his parents, Clifford (Mildred Taylor) and Arduser.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Mendieta (Ignacio), Keri Paulsen and Kris Riley (Michael); and his grandchildren, Robert, Mitchell, Morgan Hudson (Michael), Dylan Mendieta (Larissa), Jeremy (Kara), Jason (Jauna), Jade Paulsen (Nick), Sara Larson (Jon), Kaci Simon (Matt) and Taryn Fellinger (Tanner). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
