He was predeceased by: his parents, Reynold Soppe and Albertha Soppe (Kelchen); his wife Jeri (Jeri); his siblings, Andrew, Loras Soppe and Beverly Holz; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Oberbroeckling, John Steger and Erma Soppe.
He is survived by: his children, Gayle Reeder (Gary) of Delhi, Bryan Soppe (Kathy) of Ankeny, Lou Ann Soppe of Cedar Rapids and Curtis Soppe of Monticello; his siblings, Connie Helle (George) of Anamosa, Leo Soppe (Donna) of Cascade, Diane Nerney (Al) of Oxford Junction, Carol Oberbroeckling of Farley and Deborah Steger of Dyersville; and his siblings-in-law, Dave Holz of Dubuque and Doris Soppe of Dyersville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
