He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Simmons and Helen Simmons (Prull); and his parents-in-law, John, Margaret Woods, Kay Wolvers and Cleanne Woods.
He is survived by: his sons, Mike (Kelly Westphal) of Monticello, Mitch Simmons (Jenna) of Monticello, Mark (Lynette Heims) and Dubuque; his grandchildren, Nicole Hartwig (Jacob), Cody Simmons, Zach Simmons, Matilda Roberts and Kayla Simmons; his siblings, Joseph (Claudia) and Michele Rubin (Lance); and his brother-in-law John Woods.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to the family.
