It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Laura Ortgies (Monticello, Iowa), who passed away at the age of 97, on January 16, 2019. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Poppe and Johanna Poppe; her husband Alvin; her grandson Phillip Ortgies; and her siblings, Louise Siebels, Henry, George, Carl and Earl Caspers.
She is survived by: her children, John Henry Ortgies (Phyllis), Richard Ortgies, Anamosa, Julie Raak (David), Ryan and Ruth Englken; and her sister-in-law Dolores Caspers of Albuquerque, NM.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Camp Courageous.
