She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Koob and Leona Koob (Lavery); her son Francis; her siblings, James Koob, Mary Ann Keegan (Koob) and Robert Koob; her in-laws, Duane Keegan and Donna Koob; and her nephew Jeff Keegan.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Smith of Waverly, Randy Koppes (Beth) of Iowa City, Marty Koppes of Dubuque, Tim Koppes of Maquoketa, Jen Luensman (Dom) of Monticello, Ben Koppes (Andrea) of Ely and Anna Siebels (Trevor) of Marion; and her siblings, Richard Koob (Grace) of Silvis, IL, Dave Koob (Alice) of Maquoketa, Patrick Koob (Darlene), Connie Koob of Palestine, TX and Jerald Koob (Janice) of Cascade. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Matthias Catholic Church (410 3rd Ave NW, Cascade, IA 52033). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (408 3rd Ave NW, Cascade, IA 52033).
