He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wesley Hanken and Nedra Hanken (Kromminga); his wife Cindy Rowen; his children, Garett Hanken (Jenny) of Monticello, Gabriel Hanken of Monticello, Whitney Hanken of Cedar Rapids and Kaelor Hanken of Iowa City; the mother of his children Cindy Hanken of Monticello; his grandchildren, Olyvia, Waylon and Rosa Hanken; his siblings, Chris Hanken (Lin) of Maquoketa, Cynthia Coy (John) of Wintergreen, VA, Jeffrey Hanken (Sharon) of Cedar Rapids and Beth Hanken of Monticello; his sister-in-law Bobbi Ball (Mark) of Anamosa; his grandsons, Anton and Brooks Hanken; his parents-in-law, Robert and Rosa Rowen; and his sister-in-law Terri Vanek.
