He was predeceased by: his parents, Benton Grier and Elizabeth Grier (Fogle); his wife Betty; his daughter Diane Smith (David); his grandsons, Justin Smith and Christopher Hudnut; his great grandchild Bryce Hudnut; his friend Carolyn Woods; his siblings, Jack Grier (Carolyn), Jerry Grier (Suzanne) and Opal Snitker; his parents-in-law, Richard and Hazel Strausser; and his siblings-in-law, Clint Strausser, Shirley Wade, Evelyn Morse (Ellis), Elsie Nelson and Mary Wolf (Bing).
He is survived by: his children, Dixie Hudnut (Larry) of Montezuma and Dave Grier (Kathy) of Montezuma; and his grandchildren, Amy Van Maanan (Lonnie), Kevin Hudnut, Amanda Hudnut, Scott Hudnut (Mandy), Christine Grier (Cole Jones) and Ben Grier (Megan).
