She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Maynard Saylor and Marcella Ann Saylor (Christensen); and her husband Roger Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Tammy Nelson of Des Moines, Eric Nelson (Keri Geiger) of Brooklyn and Sheri Sharer (Bart) of Montezuma; and her grandchildren, Kane Conklin, Jadyn Sharer (Aidan Anderson) and Clark Nelson. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Smith Funeral Home - Brooklyn (605 Jackson St, Brooklyn, IA 52211). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM and at 12:00 PM at the Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery.
