With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Meryll Myann Hicks of Montezuma, Iowa, born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, who passed away on August 19, 2022 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin "Bud" Walker and Gwenda Jones Walker; and her sister Louise Gray. She is survived by: her husband Jim Hicks of Montezuma; her daughter Jamie Brennan (Chris) of Montezuma; her stepchildren, Shelli Johnson of Deep River and Mike Hicks (Roxie) of Montezuma; her daughter Jasmin Oppitz; her grandchildren, Camryn Brennan and Luke Brennan; her stepgrandchildren, Skylar Johnson, Cody Hicks and Dalton Hicks; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Jaxon Hicks, Averlee Hicks, Alivia Hicks and Atlyn Hicks; and her siblings, Melvin Walker (Linda) of Springfield, MO., Marvin Walker (Marie) of Des Moines and Margaret Hutchinson (Dennis) of Montezuma. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
