He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James McIlrath and Harriett Pahre McIlrath; his former wife Kristy Clark; his wife Ginger Van Hoever of Montezuma; his children, Nikki Ribble (Eric) of Iowa City, Travis McIlrath (TJ) of Norman, Holly Reed of Montezuma, Jeb Brown of Tacoma, WA., Bristen Geimer (Chad) of Montezuma and Maddie Brown of Clear Lake, IA.; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Ribble, Makayla Ribble, Myla McIlrath, Stevie Reed (Damian Benson), Willow Young and Westen Young; his great grandchild Shayde Mabel Benson; his sisters, Sue Shoup of Grinnell and Cindy Millard (Allen) of Agency; his nephew Colton Millard (Kelsie); his niece Callie Millard; his great-nephew Cooper Millard; and his mother-in-law Maxine Van Hoever.
