She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Watts and Mae Watts (Strong); her husband John Bates; her brothers, Keith Watts (Bernice) and Dennis Watts; and her siblings-in-law, Eugene, Ronald (Evelyn), Gerald, Ned (Jan), Donald (Elaine), Tom (Helen), Paul (Linda), Merle (Jean), Agnes Hourihan (Joe), Margaret Tarvin (Raymond), Dorothy Bates, Marlene Bates, Verla Tish (Marvin) and Charlene Bates.
She is survived by: her children, Joni Doll (Denny) of Nixa, MO and Curtis Bates (Dotty) of Deep River; her grandchildren, Camie Coffer (James) of Ozark, MO, Dustin Doll (Erienne) of Montezuma, Taren Young (Austin) of Montezuma and Derek Bates (Simone) of Deep River; her great grandchildren, Carter, Lincoln, Jayden, Landry, Charley, Beau, Jaxon, Gracie, Ty, Liam and Liesl; her siblings, Phyllis Mann (late Edwin) of Carlisle and Lyle Watts of Des Moines; and her sister-in-law Jacque Johnson of Montezuma.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montezuma Fire Department or the Montezuma United Methodist Church.
