She was predeceased by: her parents, William Tanke and Marie Koehn Tanke; her brothers, William Tanke, Arnold Tanke and Leland Tanke (Katherine); and her brother-in-law Boyd Pierce.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Bates of Keswick; her children, Gary Bates (Wanda) of Keswick, Marie Moore (John) of Keswick and Gloria Strohman (Greg) of Webster; her grandchildren, Heidi Bjorkgren (Nate), Nathan Moore (Shanna), Mindy Amstutz (Aaron), Amy Van Genderen (Calvin), Christopher Bates, Brooke Yates (Matt), Alissa Faas (Whit) and Zachary Strohman; her great grandchildren, Caden Van Genderen, Casen Van Genderen, Kaylee Bjorkgren, Jarrett Bjorkgren, Brandt Amstutz, Tucker Amstutz, Wesley Amstutz, Carter Moore, Finn Faas and Fletcher Faas; her sister Imogene Pierce of Keswick; and her sister-in-law Zelda Tanke of Deep River. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many friends.
