He was predeceased by: his parents, Valare Lavent and Francine Lavent (Johnston); and his wife Linda Lavent. He is survived by: his children, Wendy Lavent Amatangelo of Ankeny and Ken Lavent of Montezuma; his granddaughter Tori Peterson (Greg); his great grandchildren, Samantha Leigh Peterson and Grant Lee Peterson; and his sisters, Debra Lavent of Arlington, TX and Valerie Blain of Arlington, TX. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
