He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Silas and Virginia Mae Shores (Thompson); his wife Debora Hill of Montezuma; his sons, Charles Shores Jr. of Brookings and Jeremy Shores (Taylor Gregson) of Grinnell; his grandchildren, Steven, Spencer, Simon and Georgia; and his sisters, Mary Willis of Springfield, MO and Karen Smith of Fort Smith, AR.
