In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Verna Violet had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Verna Violet may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Rethmeier and Rosa Marie Rethmeier (Tinnermeier); and her children, Robin Goodman and Scott Ulrey. She is survived by: her children, Becky Nolin (Gary), Casey Ulrey (Tammi) and Tony Stafford (Nicole).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Coburn Funeral Homes - Monroe (602 N Commerce St, Monroe, IA 50170). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Monroe First Baptist Church (810 S Commerce St, Monroe, IA 50170).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Activity Fund at The Cottages and checks may be made payable to The Cottages.
