She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Prestridge and Lucy J. Prestridge (Brimberry); her husband Doyle Heston; and her siblings, William, Ruby and Faye.
She is survived by: her children, Phillip, Sherri Aldeman (Steve) of Iowa City, Phil Heston (Cathy) of Whitefish Bay, Mark Heston (Kara) of Ankeny and Matt Heston (Tammy) of Monroe, Iowa; her grandchildren, Josh McReynolds (Stacey) of Fairfield, Adam McReynolds (Mandi) of Ankeny, Ely Heston of Ankeny, Carter Heston of Florence, Abigail Heston of Kansas City, Ellie Backes of Ankeny, Alexandra Heston of Ankeny, Libbie Backes of Ankeny, Connor Heston and Courtney Heston of Monroe; her great grandchildren, Ethan McReynolds, Ava McReynolds, Nora McReynolds and Zula Backes; and her siblings, John Dale Prestridge of New Braunfels and Margie "Boots" Turner of Sulphur Springs, Texas..
