With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stephen Wayne Munson of Monroe, Iowa, born in Dexter, Iowa, who passed away on March 13, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry "Sam" Munson and Mary Alice Munson (Schutts); and his wife Marlys Helen Van Maaren. He is survived by: his sons, Lyn Munson (Pamela) and Lee Munson (Ralphi); his grandchildren, T. J. Sandin, DeLaney De Zwarte (Cody), Jac Munson (Caia Niemeyer), Hung Tong, Mindi Silich (Ryan), Haleigh Rees (Bryan), Paige Munson, Jeremiah Ulrey (Nikki) and Lucas Wells (Cassie); and his siblings, Marcia Schnug (Robert), Marrianne Burkhardt (Tom Henline), Tom Munson (Beth) and Gary Munson (Darla). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to the Monroe Presbyterian Church or the Monroe Fire Department.
