She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe W. Nichols and Loise I. Nichols; and her husbands, Marvin Swihart and Marion "Bud" Marchant. She is survived by: her children, Diane Ray (Mark) of Las Vegas, Dennis Marchant (Twila) of Newton, Kevin Marchant (Nati) of Chino and Scott Marchant (Tracy) of Newton.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League and Humane Society.
