He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard W. Sheeler and Engelena "Lily" Sheeler (Van Baale); his siblings, Mary Kingdon, Kathleen Jackson, Martha Brayton, JoAnn Sheeler, Gladys DeJoode and Ivan; his former wife Beverly E. Woody; and his daughter Markay.
He is survived by: his wife Nona Kain; his son Wade Sheeler (Danene); and his stepchildren, Sam Kain (Jeanine), Kathy Renaud, Kristy Clark (Frank), Kandy Rhodes (Scott) and Kim Thomas (Erik). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Monroe Fire Department or the Monroe United Methodist Church.
