She was predeceased by: her husband Robert; her father Hubert Dorothy; and her brother Steve Dorothy. She is survived by: her children, Robert of Runnells and Jodi; her son-in-law Mike Van Der Hart of St. Charles; her sisters, Marilyn (Bud Langmaid) and Sheryl (Bernard O'Malley); and her grandchildren, Joseph Layton of Ames, Travis Van Der (Hannah) and Jessica Halstead (Kenny) of Truro. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Monroe Library or to the Animal Rescue League.
