She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Foster and Thelma Foster (Dewey); and her brothers, Dennis Foster, James Foster and Stephen Foster.

She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Van Maaren of Monroe; her children, Ryan Van Maaren (Jill Milligan) of Colfax and Jana Schultz (David) of Colfax; her grandchildren, Ava and Kayley; and her brother Michael "Mike" Foster (Diann) of Waukee.
