With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Vanderploeg (Monroe, Iowa), who passed away on February 24, 2019 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thomas Bordman Greenslade and Mary Esther MacWilliam Greenslade; her daughter Katherine; her spouse Ruard; her daughters, Jennifer Hewitt (Lance) of O'Fallon, Illinois, Sarah Vanderploeg of Des Moines and Kate McElderry of Lenexa, Kansas; her grandchildren, Adrienne, Alexander Hewitt, Olivia Vanderploeg, Ethan and Eva McElderry; her brother Thomas Greenslade (Sonia) of Gambier, Ohio; and her nephews, Thomas Greenslade of Naughtingham and Russell Greenslade (Regina) of Colombus.

Memorials may be directed to the Monroe Fire Department or Alzheimer's Association.
