She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor B. Renaud and Bessie B. Renaud (Mol); her husband Claire Edwin Butin; her daughters, Sandra Kay Albers (Butin) and Lynn Carol Young Mitchell (Butin); and her siblings, Robert L. Renaud and Joyce M. Versteegh (Renaud).
She is survived by: her children, Sandy and Robert "Bob" Edwin Butin; her sister Jean Morris (Renaud); her grandchildren, Bradley Albers (Liz), Bryan Albers (Jody), Darren Albers (Dawn), Lance Young (Jennifer), Chad Young, Elizabeth Breton (Steve) and Annie Almquist (Andy); and her sons-in-law, Dale Albers, Myron Young and Gene Mitchell.
Later on, Bernie & Claire enjoyed volunteering at RSVP and various other Jasper County organizations.
For those desiring, memorials may be directed to the family which will then be given to the church in Bernice's honor.
