He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Henkes and Iva Henkes (Topel); his son Dwain; his daughter-in-law Jody Henkes; and his grandchildren, Austin, Aren Henkes and Faith Henkes.

He is survived by: his wife Arleta Henkes; his son Dustin Henkes (Michele); his grandchildren, Owen, Ashlyn, Isla Henkes, Briana, Michael and Brinan Berger; and his brother James Henkes (Mary Lou). He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many friends.
