He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Philpott and Carlota Philpott; his brother-in-law Alan Hawke; his niece Annette Hawke; and his nephews, Todd Hawke and Sam Sturges.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Philpott of Monona, Iowa; his children, Kristin Morrissey (Shawn) of Monona, Michael Philpott (Misty) of Little Rock, Scott Philpott (Eliza) of Luana and Brittani Da Silva (Manuel) of Toms River; his grandchildren, Brayde Miller, Hunter Miller, Deklan Morrissey, Chase Strub and Hunter Strub; and his siblings, Maxine Hawke of Sioux Falls and Roger Philpott of Atwood, Kansas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
