It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Birchmier of Mitchellville, Iowa, who passed away on March 20, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Birchmier and Frances Birchmier (Backoff); his brothers, Joseph, Albert Lee and James Birchmier; his sisters-in-law, Bonnie, Carol and Mary Ida Birchmier; and his grandson Jason Lowry.
He is survived by: his wife Ginie; his children, Loren Birchmier (Barb) of Bondurant, Joel Birchmier of Mitchellville, Aric Birchmier of Ankeny, Sean Birchmier (Karen) of Mitchellville and Debra Lowry of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Josh Birchmier (Melissa), Jarod Birchmier (BreAnne), Brooke Anderson (Eric), Jeremy Lowry, Calli Hustrulid (Matt), Tirra Birchmier (Johan), Talen Birchmier, Jaedyn Birchmier and Ava Birchmier; and his great grandchildren, Adeline Birchmier, Marlo Birchmier, Monroe Anderson, Truett Anderson, Henrik Birchmier, Holden Birchmier and Daniel Hustrulid.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Iowa 4-H Foundation, Holy Cross cemetery in Maxwell, Iowa, or a charity of your choice.
