He was predeceased by: his parents, Erik Duus and Dagny Duus (Jessen); and his niece Jessica Duus. He is survived by: his wife Denice; his daughter Shannon Duus; his stepdaughters, Alison Payne (Charlie Notheis), Erin Hunt (Nathan) and Elizabeth Butler (Drew); his grandchildren, Olive, Fritz, Otto Notheis, Morgan, Nolan Hunt, Paisley, Penny, Payne and Pepper Butler; and his siblings, Ava Hinz (Dennis) and Mark Duus (Marilyn).
