The memory of Wayne Honz of Missouri Valley, Iowa, who passed away on December 25, 2024 at the age of 83, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clement and Sedona Honz (Hoffmann); his wife Betty J. Christiansen; his siblings, Raymond Honz, Donald Honz (Rita), Edward Honz (Dorothy), Doris Jensen, Dennis Honz (Peggy), Rita Schneckloth (Kenneth) and Sister Agnes (Columbia); and his in-laws, Dennis Christiansen, Robert Christiansen (Betty Jane), William Christiansen (Cora), Ronald Christiansen (Paula) and Bonnie Boughton (Gary).
He is survived by: his children, Christine Wood (Bernell), Karen Manternach (Russ), Tom Honz (Kristin), Roger Honz (Shannon Campion) and Kathleen Sather (Mike); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Rachael, David, Emily, Kassi, Cole, Casey, Jacob, Allie, Jennifer, Kali and Calvin; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Christiansen and Phillip Christiansen (Nellie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (215 N 7th St, Missouri Valley, IA 51555). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
