We are sad to announce that on January 26, 2025, Richard Duane Fichter of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Fichter and Marguerite Fichter; his siblings, Lloyd and Macyl; and his sister-in-law Lois.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Kahl (Sue); his children, Cheryl Smithson (Jeff) and Daryl Fichter (Dawn); and his grandchildren, Janelle Smithson, Dylan Smithson, Riley Fichter, Alec Fichter and Nikayla Fichter.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hennessey Funeral Home (310 E Huron St, Missouri Valley, IA 51555). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Missouri Valley Christian Church (119 N 4th St, Missouri Valley, IA 51555).
