He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael John Oehler and Lucy Danberry Oehler; and his siblings, Robert and Rosemary. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Oehler; his children, Thomas Oehler (Jaymie), Teresa Montgomery (JT) and Michael S. Oehler; and his grandchildren, Michael D. Oehler, Nathan Oehler, Ethan Montgomery and Avery Montgomery.

Memorial donations in Michael's name can be given to the Wounded Warrior Project or Harrison County Food Pantry.
