With solemn reverence, we commemorate Mary Elizabeth Muell of Missouri Valley, Iowa, whose life came to an end on March 28, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Schaben (Bud) and Catherine Schaben (Block); her in-laws, Nicholas and Clara Muell (Kramer); her siblings, Adolph, Dennis, Warren, Donald Schaben, Marlene Christensen and Alice McCullough; her stepgrandson Jacob Gann; and her great grandchild Alexander Hernandez.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Muell of Peter's Catholic Church; her children, Terry of Missouri Valley, IA, Richard C. (Joyce) of Council Bluffs, IA, Steven (Pam) of Riverton, IA, Cindy Rattenborg (Rod) of Carroll, IA, Gary (Susan) of Fairbury, NE and David (Connie) of Urbandale, IA; her brother Allen Schaben (Joanne) of Harlan, IA; and her sisters-in-law, Louann Schaben of Defiance, IA and Judy Schaben of Carroll, IA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (215 N 7th St, Missouri Valley, IA 51555). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
