It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lou Blaziek in Missouri Valley, Iowa, born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on July 13, 2024, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lester and Lucile Hermes (Nusum); her son Larry Rue; her husband Herman Blaziek; her siblings, Georgette Yankovich and Lorry Hermes; her sons, Kirby and Dennis Axtell; her stepson Bob Blaziek; and her grandson Patrick Axtell.

She is survived by: her former husband Willard Axtell; her stepchildren, Bill, Vernon Blaziek and Diane Gellerson (Blaziek); her daughter Gerry Sue Rinella (Salvatore); and her grandchildren, Michelle Mefferd (Gary), Julie Wild (Steve), Rebecca Baber (Doane), Jeffrey Siebert (Stephanie), Kristin Leon (Martin), Jennifer Ball (Matt), Heather Godwin (Brad), Jacki Walker, Renee Vialpando (Tony), Bill Axtell and Emily Axtell. She is also survived by great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; cousins, nieces, nephews, and many many friends.

Memorials will be directed by the family.
