The passing of Kathy Thomas (Missouri Valley, Iowa), born in Council Bluffs, Iowa leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 19, 2025 at the age of 70. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Rolland Jacobsen; her siblings, Shari and Ellis Vern Jacobsen; and her parents-in-law, William and Betty Thomas.
She is survived by: her mother Karen Jacobsen (Baxter) of Missouri Valley; her husband Bruce Thomas of Missouri Valley; her daughters, Tanya Studer (Scott) of Ralston, Karan Thomas of Missouri Valley and Cheryl Wheeldon (Jay) of Missouri Valley; her grandchildren, Kyra, Kaelyn, Kloey, Maddox, Sawyer, Logan, Madison and Kaden; her great grandchild Sutton; her brother Terry Jacobsen (Corinne) of Desoto, Missouri; and her daughters, Jennifer Neill, Halie Stirtz and Sara Cleek. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (724 N 8th St, Missouri Valley, IA 51555). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at the Grange Cemetery.
