He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas (Bill) and Marion Coffelt (Jacobsen); his children, Ella and Bart; and his siblings, Betty Jean and Jimmy.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sherri Coffelt and Keri McLandsborough (Coffelt); his son-in-law Austin McLandsborough; his grandson Liam McLandsborough; and his sister Lois Messer (Coffelt). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to the Logan Fire Department New Building Fund.
