It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack L. Schmidt in Missouri Valley, Iowa, born in Oakland, California, who passed away on March 30, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Graham Schmidt and Marion Schmidt (McCarty); and his brother Graham. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Nahach; his sons, Graham Schmidt (Hanna) of Kansas City, England of Kansas City, John Schmidt (Megan) of Kansas City, Daniel Schmidt (Danielle) of Kansas City and Michael Schmidt (Tiffany); and his grandchildren, Brooke, Lenni of Carter, CJ, Marion and Theo.

Memorials are suggested to the American Parkinson's Disease Association.
