He was predeceased by: his siblings, Beverly June, Thordis, Lucille, Gene and Jerry; his nephew Jimmy; and his daughter-in-law Jan.
He is survived by: his wife Eloise Marie Kierscht; his children, Dr. Amy Bertelson (David Clark), Kim Bertelson (Liza), Dr. Tammie Bertelson and Teresa Bertelson (Tim Watson); his grandchildren, Nicholas (Molly), Noah (MaKayla), Tory (Carlee), Racine and Lyra; his great grandchildren, Lillie and Magnolia; and his sisters, Carole, Jo Ann and Judy. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
The family would like memorials to go to Missouri Valley Fire Department, Harrison County Food Pantry or St. Paul Lutheran Church .
