With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darlene Jean Shelton (Missouri Valley, Iowa), born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on December 3, 2021 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Guttau and Bessie Guttau (Rossell); her children, Jacqueline Jean Shelton and Scott Allen Shelton; and her brother-in-law Robert Harris.
She is survived by: her husband John Shelton; her children, Jeff Shelton (Julie) of Modale, Iowa, Christy Shelton-Wiese (Scott) of Omaha, Nebraska, Mark Shelton (Tammara) of Pisgah, Iowa and Julene Shelton-Beedle (Craig) of Onawa, Iowa; and her sister Donna Harris of Mondamin, Iowa. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
