He is survived by: his parents, Bill Hughes and Rachel Hughes; his siblings, Gary Hughes (Kindren) of Camby, IN, Mary Perry (Dave) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Paul Hughes (Becky) of Greenville, SC, Tim Hughes of San Diego, CA, Ruth McNeill (Daniel) of Kernersville, NC, Rebekah Jordan (Zach) of Omaha, NE and Esther Nelson (Bradley) of Council Bluffs, IA; and his nieces, Cecily, Arden, Amelya, Genevieve, Joanna and Vera.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hennessey Funeral Home (310 E Huron St, Missouri Valley, IA 51555). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Westwood Heights Baptist Church (3343 Pedersen Dr, Omaha, NE 68144).
