He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gale and Florence Irene Rippey (Vieth); his nephew John Rogers; and his brother-in-law James Rogers. He is survived by: his sisters, Margaret Page (Dennis) and Zella Rogers (E. James); his daughters, Cynthia Westjohn (Greg), Nancy Withers, Sandra Kelly (Paul) and Abigail Birkenholtz (Tony); his grandchildren, Heather Will (Erik), Holly Herboth (Jason), Jessie Walk (Derik), Michelle Parsons (Brad), Kate Rippey, Andrea Horsman (Cole), Colton Birkenholtz and Wyatt Birkenholtz; and his great grandchildren, Jessie, Kaitlynn, Allisyn, Elias, Finn, Ezra, Mason, Olivia, Kynnedi, Miles, Easton, Jaxon, MacKenzie, Lucus, Vincent and Collin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory (1115 E 19th St N, Newton, IA 50208-2539). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Union Chapel. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at the Union Chapel Cemetery.
