With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita Sue Milligan of Mingo, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Rita's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Rita has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Maggard and June Maggard (Campbell); her husband Larry Milligan; and her brother Richard Maggard. She is survived by: her children, Jill Milligan (Ryan Van Maaren), John Milligan (Rhonda) and Jeff Milligan (Melissa); and her grandchildren, Haley Wickenkamp and Emma Wickenkamp.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory (1115 E 19th St N, Newton, IA 50208-2539). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Ashton Chapel Church (8887 W 122nd St N, Mingo, IA 50168). A burial was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Union Chapel Cemetery (7227 W 100th St N, Mingo, IA 50168).
